党报应该而且能够报道好社会新闻。《沈阳日报》近年来在报道社会新闻时注意坚持如下原则:①立意高远———注重新闻的思想内涵,弘扬高尚的社会道德风尚;②角度新颖———注重题材的公众关切度和吸引力,让读者在潜移默化中受到教育;③方向正确———注重新闻的政治方向,不炒作、不盲从、不添乱,始终坚持正确的舆论导向,维护社会稳定。臆主题要鲜明———注重新闻的政治责任,积极维护政府威信,密切同群众的联系,为读者排忧解难。
