北京汇文中学将“做人教育”放在首位,提出“以人为本,重在发展”的办学理念,明确“笃志践行,培养国家的栋梁之材”的育人目标,深入开展了以“志向、责任、规则”为主题的一系列教育活动。学校将增强爱国情感和教育学生树立远大志向作为德育工作的首要任务,把校园当作爱国主义教育的大课堂,以校史作为爱国主义教科书,坚持对学生进行以“爱国”“志向”为核心的理想教育,坚持“英雄班”的爱国主义教育传统。学校坚守“力行近乎仁”的校训,充分利用社会资源,开展多种形式的社会实践活动,让学生从中体验生活、感悟成败、收获人生。2009年,学校承担的“新时期中学生公民道德素养教育实践研究”课题荣获第三届北京市基础教育教学成果一等奖。
