Objective To understand the blood pressure level of civil aviation pilots and explore the relationship between the high blood pressure and body weight, blood fat and blood glucose of pilots. Methods A total of 112 hypertensive pilots (including 33 confirmed hypertension and 79 critical hypertensive) detected in the annual medical examination of an airline pilot were selected as the control group according to work type and age. Systolic blood pressure (SP), diastolic blood pressure (DP), body mass index (BMI), serum total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and fasting blood glucose. Results The levels of SP, DP, TC and BMI in hypertension group were significantly higher than those in non-hypertension group (P <0.01). TC, TG, LDL / HDL and TC / HDL in hypertension group were significantly higher than those in non-overweight hypertension group (P <0.01). The HDL-C of hypertensive patients with hypertension was significantly lower than that of non-overweight hypertensive patients (P <0.05). No significant difference between the groups of blood glucose. Conclusions The blood pressure level of hypertension in civil aviation pilots is high. Overweight is the most dangerous risk factor of cardiovascular disease. Active weight loss and weight control are the main links to prevent cardiovascular disease. It is suggested that effective medical guidance should be given to the treatment of hypertension in pilots And suggested that the appropriate level of blood pressure control should be studied and the relationship between insulin resistance (IR) and hypertension.
