1992年4月20～25日中国科学院第六次学部委员大会在京举行。中国科学院现有学部委员508人(其中1991年增选209人),其中技术科学部135人(其中1991年增选67人)。出席本次大会的学部委员有456人。 20日上午,李鹏总理向大会祝贺,发表了重要讲话,强调要进一步加快深化改革的步伐,动员、吸引广大科技力量投入发展社会主义生产力,发展国民经济“主战场”;要组织精干力量,加强高技术研究与基础研究;希望海外学子适时而归,投入四化建设;希望学部委员带头攀登科学高峰,作出表率。
April 20-25, 1992 The 6th Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences was held in Beijing. There are 508 academic members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (including 209 selected by 1991), including 135 from the Ministry of Science and Technology (of which 67 were selected in 1991). There are 456 academic members attending the conference. On the morning of 20 January, Premier Li Peng congratulated the General Assembly and made an important speech. He emphasized that we should further accelerate the pace of deepening the reform and mobilize the majority of scientific and technological forces to devote efforts to the development of the socialist productive forces and the “main battlefield” of the national economy. We should organize capable cadres to strengthen High-tech research and basic research; I hope overseas students go home in due course and put into four modernizations; I hope that academic members take the lead in climbing the scientific peak to set an example.
