两盒墓志用散文记述死者的姓名、籍贯、生平等,以及用韵文了表达对死者的赞杨、悼念之词。定州市文物保护管理所为配合城市基建工程,于2007年六月份对中兴路北侧天成花园建设工地进行了文物勘探,并对勘探中发现的古墓葬进行了抢救性发掘,其中在一座墓中出土了二盒唐代墓志,现介绍如下:两盒墓志均为石质,正方形,一盒边长38厘米,志盖面阴刻楷书“大唐故赵府君墓志铭”3行9字,四周阳刻牡丹花纹。志底阴刻志文楷书16行满行25字,共331字(见图一)另一盒边长
