From 29th September to 3rd October,2014,the 30th session of the International Fair of Bogota will be held in Bogota International Exhibition Center. The International Fair of Bogota was established in 1954 as a biennial exhibition, and the organizer is Corferias Exhibition Company, the biggest exhibition organizer in Columbia. As the premier and oldest industrial exhibition in the region, the International Fair of Bogota is influential of its own kind in the entire South America.
Columbia is located in the northeast South America, with a total population of 40 million, of which 10 million in Bogota the capital.In recent years, the country’s economic pattern has changed dramatically. The percentage of industry sector in national economy has risen from 16.8% to 34.8%. In 2012, the import and export volume were 60.667 billion US dollars and 119.299 billion US dollars respectively, and China is now Colombia’s second biggest import source and second biggest export destination country.According to Columbia’s Customs data, in the first half of 2011, the bilateral trade between China and Columbia increased by 31.9% to be 4.66 billion dollars.
I n 2 0 1 2 , t h e r e w e r e 8 6 2 companies joined the International Fair of Bogota, with an exhibition space of 25,376 square meters, and it received 53,442 trade visitors from Germany, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Bogota, Cuba, Spanish, Denmark, United States,Bolivia, France, Italy, Netherland, China, Switzerland and Venezuela. According to a survey, 87% of exhibitors and 90% of trade visitors gave positive feedback on the exhibition, and exhibitors were especially satisfied with the quality of trade visitors.
