Objective: To investigate the clinical value of superselective arterial chemotherapy and embolization in elderly patients with breast cancer. Methods: Thirty-four patients with breast cancer confirmed by pathology were randomly selected. Among them, 17 patients were treated with neoadjuvant arterial chemotherapy and embolization, and the other 17 patients with preoperative arterial chemotherapy and embolization as control group. Results: There were no serious complications in 17 patients who underwent arterial chemotherapy and embolization. After 8 to 15 days, complete remission was achieved in 2 patients (11.8%), partial remission in 12 patients (70.6%) and stable disease in 3 patients (17.6%). Six patients underwent modified radical mastectomy and nine patients underwent breast conserving surgery. Conclusion: It is practicable to use new and new auxiliary preoperative arterial infusion chemotherapy and embolization to eliminate or reduce the mass in breast cancer patients, reduce the difficulty of breast cancer operation, narrow the scope of operation, increase the chance of breast-conserving surgery and improve the quality of life of patients treatment method.
