中国实施西部大开发的战略绝不会动摇,国家对西部大发展的支持力度不会减弱,西部地区经济社会发展步伐不会减慢。11月18日,在南宁召开的“2004·中国西部论坛”上,中共中央政治局委员、国务院副总理曾培炎代表党中央、国务院重申了国家西部大开发这一政策。同样令人振奋的是,来自国务院及国务院各部委的领导、西部各省(区)领导以及各专家学者,围绕“坚持科学” 发展观,促进西部地区全面、协调、可持续发展“这一主题,就如何更全面、更深入地推进西部大开发发表了激情昂扬的演讲,这些精辟论点和独到论述将为我们更快更好地推进西部大开发提供强大的理论支持。
