国外学术界对海登·怀特的研究主要有两种情况:一是对他的《元史学》、《话语的转义》、《比喻现实主义》等代表性著作的书评,其中又以对《元史学》的评论最为丰富,论争也最为激烈;二是对怀特的代表性观点进行的论争。对于怀特的批评,主要有三种代表性的立场,这些不同立场有助于我们在一种论辩的视野下更全面地分析和评价怀特的理论观点。
There are mainly two kinds of research on Hayden White in foreign academic circles: one is the book review of his representative works such as “Yuan History”, “Escape of Words” and “Metaphor of Realism” Yuan historiography "the most abundant comments, the most intense debate; the second is the representative of White’s controversy. There are mainly three representative positions for White’s criticism. These different positions help us to analyze and evaluate White’s theoretical viewpoint more fully in the perspective of one argument.
