Neonatal asphyxia is one of the important causes of perinatal death. The presence of its brain complications have a significant impact on the prognosis. In this paper, 40 cases of neonatal asphyxia at birth as arterial blood gas, blood electrolyte test to observe changes in neonates asphyxia blood anion gap (AG), and AG and neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) correlation To explore. 1 Subjects and Methods 1.1 Subjects: 40 cases were admitted within 24 hours of full-term suffocation, and except for heart, lung, kidney, intestinal and other serious complications. 29 males and 11 females. Admission average age of 6.2 hours, with an average weight of 3.2 kg. Mild asphyxia in 21 cases, severe asphyxia in 19 cases.
