李元(1925.6-2016.7),原名李杬,山西朔州人。中国著名科普作家,北京天文馆创建人之一。曾就职于紫金山天文台、北京天文馆、中国科普研究所。李元先生一生致力于天文科普写作,传播天文学知识,推动中国科普事业。他是首位将世界太空美术系统地介绍给中国科普美术家和科学爱好者的中国学者。李元先生在少年时代就酷爱天文学。1941年,年仅16岁的李元写信给高鲁先生求 Li Yuan (1925.6-2016.7), formerly known as Li Kui, Shanxi Shuozhou people.
