1888年生于上海的庄俊,是我国著名建筑学家。他早年考上庚子赔款留学生,赴美国伊利诺大学专攻建筑学,成为中国第一位“科班”出身的华人建筑师。学成归国后,他以中方建筑师的身份协助美国人完成清华大学的规划与设计,并在洋商垄断的上海租界开办了第一所华人建筑事务所。他曾设计过唐山银行大楼、天津扶轮中学、上海金城银行、慈淑大楼等一系列经典的建筑。在庄俊长达102年的生命流程中,除了对建筑事业的杰出贡献,他还先后与竺可桢、毛泽东、郭沫若等有过不同一般的交往,政务院分配给他的轿车牌号是“京-00001”…… Zhuang Jun, born in Shanghai in 1888, is a famous architect in China. He was admitted to Gengzi early in life as an indemnity student, went to the University of Illinois to specialize in architecture and became the first Chinese architect to graduate from “science class”. After returning from his studies, he helped the Americans to complete the planning and design of Tsinghua University as an architect in China and opened the first Chinese architecture firm in Shanghai Concession monopolized by the foreign businessmen. He has designed a series of classic buildings such as Tangshan Bank Tower, Tianjin Middle School of Ripley, Shanghai Jincheng Bank, Ci Shu Building and so on. In Zhuang Jun’s life process of 102 years, apart from his outstanding contributions to the construction industry, he also had different general contacts with Zhu Kezhen, Mao Zedong and Guo Moruo.
