“后现代主义”是国际学术上颇具争议的术语,对于“后现代主义是什么”这一问题是研究者必须直面的首要问题,同时也是对20世纪整个后现代文化思潮影响下的各种文化现象的本质认识。笔者将现代主义到后现代主义的历史与逻辑作为研究基线,以这一时期出现在欧美的音乐现象为研究对象,来厘清现代主义音乐与后现代主义音乐的特殊关系,及其在文化领域中的特殊性所在,并在多元混杂的音乐现象中抽离出后现代主义音乐这一元,给其较为清晰的界定。
