这位老伯,姓沈名昌瑞,江苏吴县(苏州)人,1920年生,毕业于上海光华大学和中央政治学校新闻学院,抗战期间任军政部长陈诚将军的英文秘书。国共和谈时,他为美国特使马歇尔当翻译,1946年随陈诚参谋总长到南京,1947年获公派留学,在美国哥伦比亚大学政治研究所攻读硕士,陈诚让这个亲信同时担任中国驻美大使馆少将武官。1948年沈昌瑞考进联合国秘书处当翻译,直至1981年退休。2010年12月23日,沈老伯病逝于纽约大学医院,享寿九十。沈老伯是我父亲的执友,上一代风风雨雨半世纪,今日回首,内中的风波曲折,分分寸寸都和祖国的命运紧紧相连,丝丝入扣。
The old man, surnamed Shen Changrui, Jiangsu Wuxian (Suzhou), born in 1920, graduated from Shanghai Guanghua University and the Central Political School School of Journalism. During the War of Resistance Against Japan, General Chen Cheng was Secretary General of English. During the Kuomintang-Communist talks, he was a translator for U.S. special envoy Marshall. In 1946, with Chen Cheng’s chief of staff to Nanjing, he went on to study abroad in 1947. He studied for a master’s degree at the Political Science Institute at Columbia University. Chen Cheng let the confidant serve as the military attache of the Chinese embassy in the United States. . Shen Changrui was admitted to the UN Secretariat in 1948 as a translator until his retirement in 1981. December 23, 2010, Shen old man died in New York University Hospital, enjoy life ninety. Shen old man is my father’s friend, the last generation of ups and downs for half a century, look back today, the turmoil in the twists and turns, sub-divided closely linked with the fate of the motherland, slightest.
