吉比特无源光网络(GPON)是构成下一代光纤到户(FTTH)系统的支撑技术。ITU-T已发布了4版GPON协议(G.984.x)。在详细解读4套协议的基础上,深入了解了G.982和G.983.x系列特性及其延拓到GPON应用系统的相关问题和兼容性。系统地论述了GPON的参考结构、传输汇聚及关键技术,尤其是GPON的传输机制和帧结构,为设计和构建GPON-FTTx系统提供了重要的参考依据。
The Gigabit Optical Passive Optical Network (GPON) is the supporting technology that forms the next generation of FTTH systems. ITU-T has released version 4 GPON protocol (G.984.x). Based on a detailed interpretation of the four sets of protocols, we thoroughly understand the features of the G.982 and G.983.x series and their related issues and compatibility with GPON applications. This paper systematically discusses the reference structure, transmission aggregation and key technologies of GPON, especially the transmission mechanism and frame structure of GPON, which provides an important reference for the design and construction of GPON-FTTx system.
