白蚁对根部的危害已成为桉树育苗与造林的主要限制因子。危害的程度因树种、地点及气候条件而异,严重的林分树木死亡率达50%~80%。以前应用有机氯杀虫剂拌土防治,由于残留期长,大多数杀虫剂已被禁用。1986—1987年采用裂区随机区组设计,比较不同施药方法、不同剂量毒死蜱的防治效果,试图得到最佳施药方法和剂量。毒死蜱是防治地下害虫的高效有机磷杀虫剂、可以代替有机氯防治桉树林白蚁危害。
Termite damage to the roots has become a major limiting factor in eucalyptus nursery and afforestation. The degree of damage varies according to species, location and climatic conditions, with severe tree mortality of 50% to 80%. In the past, organochlorine pesticides were used to prevent soil contamination. Most pesticides have been banned due to the long residual period. In 1986-1987, a randomized block design of split zone was adopted to compare the effects of different application methods and different doses of chlorpyrifos in order to get the best application method and dosage. Chlorpyrifos is an effective organophosphorus insecticide against underground pests and can replace organochlorines to control the damage of eucalyptus termites.
