由意大利威尼斯高等建筑学院与同济大学建筑城规学院共同举办的《人与园林——东方与西方,从理想到现实》国际园林研讨会1994年5月10—14日在上海同济大学和苏州召开,这次会议会聚了国内国外来自意大利、美国、日本、德国、法国、澳大利亚、墨西哥、加拿大、克罗地亚、挪威等国的专家、教授、学者共五十多人.在同济大学建筑城规学院精心组织以及上海绿地总公司、苏州市园林局等单位的资助下,使会议开得很顺利,很成功.会后,部份专家又去了杭州、黄山访问游览,在杭州市得到园文局的热情接待,使到会的外国朋友留下深刻的印象.
The International Garden Symposium on “Persons and Gardens - East and West, From Ideal to Reality” co-organized by Venice’s Institute of Architecture in Venice and the School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Tongji University was held on May 10-14, 1994 in Tongji University and Suzhou, Shanghai. The conference brought together more than 50 experts, professors and scholars from Italy, the United States, Japan, Germany, France, Australia, Mexico, Canada, Croatia, Norway and other countries at home and abroad. Thanks to the funding from the organization and the Shanghai Greenland Corporation and the Suzhou Bureau of Parks, the meeting was very smooth and very successful. After the meeting, some experts visited Hangzhou and Huangshan to visit and obtain the garden bureau in Hangzhou. Warm reception, so that foreign friends to the meeting left a deep impression.
