美国华裔女作家谭恩美(Amy Tan)的第一部小说《喜福会》受到了国内外文学评论界的赞誉。本文尝试从文化批评的角度,分析《喜福会》中四位中国移民母亲和在美国成长的女儿们之间由于文化差异、民族身份等因素引起的对立冲突的矛盾关系,说明了不同文化背景人物在异质文化交流中的撞击与摩擦,阐释她们从冲突到融合的过程。
Amy Tan’s first novel, The Joy Luck Club, was acclaimed by critics both at home and abroad. This article attempts to analyze the contradictory relationship between the four Chinese immigrant mothers and the daughters who grew up in the United States due to cultural differences and ethnic identities from the perspective of cultural criticism and illustrate the different cultural backgrounds The collision and friction of characters in heterogeneous cultural exchanges explain their process from conflict to integration.
