散白蚁是我国分布范围最广的一种害虫,遍布大江南北,习性复杂,课题实验饲养方面的研究技术很薄弱,报导大都只限家白蚁的饲养方法.当前我国灭蚁药物种类极感单一,急需各地区专业机构进行药物种类和剂量的筛选,进行对散白蚁扩散和生物学特性的研究,因此饲养白蚁是以上工作的基础。根据我们连年饲养经验,现总结如下,仅供白蚁防治工作者和研究人员参考、欢迎指教。散白蚁同样属于社会性昆虫,群集生活、分工严密,活动较其他白蚁更为分散隐蔽,因此取蚁和饲养方法有别于其他白蚁。
