The Fourth National Nondestructive Testing New Technology and the 9th Laser Inspection Technology Symposium was held in Nanping, Sichuan from June 1 to June 9, 1998. The companies from the aviation, aerospace, mechanical, power, nuclear and Chinese Academy of Sciences systems, Fifty-five representatives of scientific research institutes and universities, including Taiwan counterparts, attended the conference. The conference included a total of 60 papers (including 6 papers by the Taiwan Institute of Nuclear Energy Research) and 35 papers were presented at the conference. In addition to NDT new technologies such as laser, infrared and microwave, NDT is also involved.
