铁依甫江·艾里耶夫(1930—1989)是当代维吾尔诗歌创作的奠基人之一.他生于新疆霍城县一个农民家庭,中共党员,1948年参加新疆三区革命,曾任新疆《前进报》、《新道路报》编辑.1949年后历任大型维吾尔文学刊物《塔里木》主编,新疆维吾尔自治区党委宣传部文艺处副处长、中国作家协会第三、四届理事、副主席,中国作协新疆分会秘书长、副主席,新疆文联副主席等职.铁依甫江早在少年时代就开始了诗歌创作.1945年他以尼尔艾提为笔名,发表了处女作《给当兵哥哥的信》.新中国成立以后,铁依甫江用自己热情澎湃的歌声,赞颂了祖国各民族人民大团结的宏伟事业,鲜明地表达了他对党、对社会主义祖国的忠诚和热爱.著有《东方之歌》、《和平之歌》(维汉文),《唱不完的歌》《歌颂我的祖国》、《迎接更美丽的明天》、《铁依甫江诗选》(维汉文、人民文学出版社出版)、《不惑集》(汉文)等多部诗集.其中《爱情篇》、《故乡抒怀》等诗作分别获第一、二届全国少数民族文学创作一等奖.此外,铁依甫江还从事维吾尔族口头文学和古典文学的研究,并曾合作翻译了《毛主席诗词》和屈原的《离骚》等.
