The generation of ancient Chinese literary theory goes back to ancient times, and recognition is the logical starting point of its emergence and development. This is mainly related to the geographical environment of China’s inherent land-sea surface and the ancient and intensive agricultural civilization. The agricultural civilization that has been nurtured under the condition of the continental monsoon climate directly restricts the people’s world view and methodology that indirectly affect people’s thinking habits, life style and aesthetic taste. The difference of world view indirectly determines people’s understanding of differences in life, social relations, natural environment, moral character, aesthetic perception, cultural system, literary creation and aesthetic criticism. People gather heaven and earth, become the priests of all things, the world’s natural observation and reflection are derived from the sharp mind and sensitive nerves, and the role or to convey the physical and mental imprint is to recognize. It is the recognition of the people that make people feel the spring, summer, autumn and winter, the climate changes from cold to heat and death, emotions and emotions. Recognizing the depth of direct constraints on the quality of life, the aesthetic experience of the existence and the size of creative achievements. It can be said without understanding there is no poetic feeling of life, naturally, there is no impulse to create art, the output of works of art and artistic criticism and the initiation of art theory. Thus it can be seen that cognition is the starting point for the creation of ancient Chinese literary theory.
