2002年11月8日,当参加党的十六大的2000多位代表走进北京人民大会堂时,一个身份自动认证系统根据摄影头捕捉到的代表脸部信息,快速进行识别确认,使代表们几乎没有耽搁地进入会场。这项由中科院计算所和“银晨科技”研制的“面像检测与识别核心技术”,是国家863计划的一项重要攻关项目,也是我国继“龙芯”之后又一拥有自主知识产权的重大科研成果,入围2002年中国十大科技进展新闻评选。
On November 8, 2002, when more than 2,000 delegates attending the 16th National Congress of the Party went to the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, an automatic identity verification system quickly identified and confirmed the representatives according to the representative face information captured by the camera. They entered the venue with almost no delay. The “core technology of face detection and identification” developed by CAS Institute of Computing Technology and “Yinchen Science and Technology” is an important research project of the National 863 Program and also a major one of our country with independent intellectual property rights after “Godson” Scientific research achievements, nominated for 2002 China top ten scientific and technological progress news selection.
