国际汉语教育是在全球化背景下,应社会需求形成的、具有明显时代特征的语言与文化传播范式。其特点是通过教学活动和文化交流,致力于促进汉语和中华文化与世界多元文化的对话与共享,在带动中华语言文化国际传播的同时,扩大汉语和中华文化的国内传播,推动多元文化背景下中华语言文化自身的增值与变迁。在这个过程中,国际汉语教育体现了教育的文化功能,显示出语言与文化传播活动多维度的社会价值,并在学科建设、制度保障和人才储备等方面为中华文化的跨文化交流作出了有益探索和贡献。
