宣钢1号烧结机是在我国五十年代设计的50m~2烧结机基础上增加了40m~2冷却段,头尾弯道中心距增加到50130mm,使烧结机长宽比达到25,如图1。1970年投产运行,开始阶段还较顺利,1976年后,烧结机下滑道上的台车开始频繁出现斜行跑偏现象,如图2所示。铸铁台车轮与轨道的啃磨,造成台车轮轴承的损坏及尾部弯道严重磨损,甚至台车在头尾弯道上经常出现卡死和掉车现象(最多时一次掉4台台车),造成重大事故。
