在齿轮制造过程中,使齿轮具有保证侧隙的检验力法有多种:齿形位移法、度量中心距法、公法线长度法、辊棒跨距(M)值法、固定弦齿厚法、分圆弦齿厚法等。现在最常用的是度量中心距法和公法线长度法(对不能用公法线长度测量的窄斜齿轮可用辊棒跨距值法)两种。两种方法各有优点和缺点,而各自的优点又刚好是对方的缺点,度量中心距法需要精度高
