为了使用现有γ谱仪探测中子,设计了一种n-γ反应中子探头。构建几何模型,利用MCNP4B程序,仿真中子在轻材料中的输运过程。根据仿真计算结果以及物质形态的要求,选定聚乙烯作为探头的最佳组成材料。描绘了聚乙烯厚度均匀增加时(n,γ)反应截面的变化规律,同时在综合考虑了中子探测效率、中子对探头损伤作用、测量误差以及中子散射作用等因素后,最终确定探头的底厚和壁厚最佳尺寸均是7.0 cm。
In order to detect neutrons using the existing gamma spectrometer, an n-gamma neutron probe was designed.
