关心美国文学研究的人都会注意到近二十年来在这个领域里发生了大变化。从出版物分析,变化主要体现在讨论重点由解读作品转为用作品说明理论或用理论读出作品潜在内容。理论由“美学”范畴延伸至语言学、心理学、历史、经济等。变化并非始自一日,但结构主义的传入从多种意义上说都是变化的发端。虽然美国学者们普遍认为结构主义尚未在美国学术界把话蜕完就被后结构主义的批判淹没了,但是令中国读者感到疏离的概念词语、导致目前状况的理论问题可以说皆始自结构主义。本文拟从文学理论及文学批评两方面谈谈结构主义造成的影响。
People who are interested in American literature will notice major changes in this area in the last two decades. From the analysis of publications, the changes mainly reflected in the discussion focused on the interpretation of works from the use of the theory of the description of the book or use theory to read out the potential content of the work. Theory extends from the category of “aesthetics” to linguistics, psychology, history and economics. Changes do not come from one day, but the introduction of structuralism is, in many ways, the origin of change. Although American scholars generally believe that structuralism has not been swallowed up by the post-structuralist critique in the academic circles of the United States, the conceptual words that alienate Chinese readers have led to the fact that the theoretical issues of the current situation can be said to have originated from structuralism . This article intends to talk about the impact of structuralism from both literary theory and literary criticism.
