On June 27, 2016, I organized a workshop with the Dutch philosopher Pieter Lemmens and the Belgian philosopher Paul Willemarck at the Nijmegen town hall in the Netherlands Interview with Peter Sloterdijk and Bernard Stiegler. When Willy Marck visited me in Berlin in the winter of 2013, he proposed to me to organize a debate because the two French and German philosophers, both in their claim and their academic origins (such as Heidegger, Derrida, Psychological analysis) have a lot of resonance, we originally scheduled to be held in Berlin, but because of funding and date issues, the plan shelved. In the summer of 2014, we met Peter Lymans during the Summer School in Stigler in the hamlet of Central America with Willy Mark, and we decided to reschedule this debate. We finally finalized the plan in 2015. The theme will be about humankind and its future, and Radboud University Nijmegen of Nijmegen has also said it will be financially supportive. So we held a two-day expert seminar on the 27th and 28th, respectively. The participants included the famous Kant expert Howard Caygill (also my former teacher), sociologist Jason Moore (Donna Harav’s article mentions him many times), the famous paleontologist Peter Westbroek and other philosophers, sociologists, biologists, geologists and others. On the evening of the 27th, there were talks between Sloterdijk and Stigler, and the 800 seat of the City Hall was packed. The talk was moderated by Lisa Doeland of the Radboud Reflect.
