China and the United States belong to the typical world powers. The difference is that the United States belongs to the developed country and China belongs to the developing world. In that case, I think economists from both countries should reach some consensus on the economy of major powers and there should be some experiences worth learning from China’s economic development. The U.S. economists should be able to provide valuable insights on the economic development of the major powers. Based on this consideration, I paid special attention to exchanges with the U.S. economists. They met Professor Robert Mundell, Professor Ronald McKinnon, and Dr. Nick Hope, one after another, and talked with them about the major economies, the major currencies and Emerging powers issue was discussed.
