2000年9月,不少媒体报道了这样一则新闻:上海应用技术学院艺术设计系环境艺术专业首次招收聋哑学生入学。这标志着继北京、天津、长春之后,中国南方终于出现了第一个大学专科层次的特殊教育专业,来自上海、江苏、浙江等地的17位聋哑学生从孩提时代就憧憬接受正规高等教育的美梦成真了。一年过去了,我们可以很自豪地说,这17位牵动了众多人心的特教生在院、系领导及广大师生的关爱下,正以百倍的勤奋弥补生理的缺陷,而聋哑学生自强不息的人生追求亦已成为同龄人寻找理想着陆点的新坐标。
In September 2000, quite a few media reported the news that the environment arts major of art and design department of Shanghai Institute of Technology entered the school for the first time. This marked the first university-level special education major in southern China after Beijing, Tianjin and Changchun. 17 deaf-mute students from Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang were looking forward to receiving regular higher education from their childhood Dream come true. A year has passed and we are proud to say that under the care of the leadership and the majority of teachers and students, the 17 special education students who have touched many hearts are making a hundredfold diligent efforts to make up for the physical defects. However, deaf students The pursuit of self-improvement in life has also become the new co-ordinates to find the ideal landing point.
