宁仁坊遗址区的调查,采用探方分区布孔法,以宁仁坊为中心,周边涵盖郭城南墙、明教坊、定鼎门大街、宽政坊、永通门大街、从政坊、定鼎门大街西第二街的一部分。基本上探明了宁仁坊的范围、坊墙、坊门、道路、排水沟等遗迹,对其布局有了初步了解。同时探出了相邻坊的部分遗迹、郭-城南墙的一部分和宁仁坊周边的道路遗迹。为隋唐洛阳城的里坊研究、考古发掘和保护展示提供了参考资料。
