艾尔·帕西诺(Al Pacino)是个半途辍学的学生、是个受过正统演戏训练、热爱把莎士比亚名剧中对白细嚼的演员。近四十年以来,他被尊崇为最伟大的演员之一,同时却要在落败七次、在跟首次提名之后二十年,才终于夺得生平第一奥斯卡最佳男主角奖。可是在不少人心中,多年来他虽无影帝之名,却有影帝之实。要等了二十年,他才终于达成所愿。他崛起的那个时代,人才辈出,都把演戏看成生死般认真,他们都是演员,而非明星。那是艾尔·帕西诺、罗伯特·德尼罗(Robert De Niro)与达斯丁·霍夫曼(Dustin Hoffman)的年代。艾尔·帕西诺并非不享受巨星地位带来的荣华富贵、面子与尊重,可是在花天酒地之外,对演戏有着燃烧着的热情。可是,活着的传奇不易为。
Al Pacino is a student who has dropped out of school halfway and is an actor who has been trained in orthodox theater and loves to chew on Shakespeare’s famous play. He has been honored as one of the greatest actors in almost forty years and at the same time he has to defeat seven times and finally won the first ever Academy Award for best actor twenty years after his first nomination. However, in many people’s hearts, though he has no shadow in the name of the King over the years, there is the fact that the Emperor of the film. To wait for two decades, he finally reached the desired. The era of his rise, talented people, both acting as life and death as serious as they are actors, not stars. That’s the age of Al Pacino, Robert De Niro and Dustin Hoffman. Al Pacino is not not enjoy the glory of wealth, face and respect brought by the superstar status, but outside the flower shop, has a burning passion for acting. However, the legend is not easy to live.
