语言是文化的载体,语言教学离不开文化教学。针对高校英语教学中重语言、轻文化的现状,本文从语言与文化的关系入手,探讨了文化教学的内容,即干扰交际的文化因素、文化知识、词语的文化内涵及话语及语篇的文化差异,并进而指出文化教学中可以根据内容采用比较法、诠释补充法、背景讲解法、文化讲座法、图片/影像展示法、实践法以及文学作品阅读法进行教学实践,从而能够使学生在文化大背景下有效地习得语言。
