习语是一种语言在使用过程中形成的独特的、固定的表达方式,其中动物习语是习语中很重要的一部分。由于地理环境、宗教、风俗习惯、价值观和民族喜好的不同,人们对某些动物习语的熟悉程度和理解也不尽相同,这便导致了英汉动物习语中意义的异同。文章从英汉两种语言中的动物习语着手,探求中西方文化的异同,从而揭示其丰富、幽默的内涵及所体现出不同的民族文化特色和文化信息,进而能更加准确、传神地进行中西文化交际。
Idioms are a unique and fixed expression of a language during its use. Animal idioms are an important part of idioms. Due to the different geographical environment, religion, customs, values and national preferences, people’s familiarity and understanding of certain animal idioms are not the same, which leads to the similarities and differences of meanings in English and Chinese animal idioms. The article starts from animal idioms in English and Chinese and explores the similarities and differences between Chinese and Western cultures, revealing the richness and humor connotation as well as the different national cultural characteristics and cultural information, so that the Chinese and Western cultures can be carried out more accurately and vividly Cultural Communication.
