PURPOSE: To test the validity of the maladaptive scale in MMPI-2 among people who have undergone traumatic events. METHODS: Forty-four hospitalized patients with stress disorder (SD) and 44 well-established trauma survivors (TS) were enrolled. T-scores (M8) of 8 clinical scales were maladaptive indicators and compared with 7 maladaptive scales in MMPI-2. Results: Six of the SD patients were significantly higher than the TS; most of the scales in both groups were significantly associated with M8; although F and PK increased the explanation for variance in SD patients or TS maladjustment, Subjects were significantly increased the other variables on the maladaptive effect of prediction. CONCLUSION: Most of the patients with MMPI-2 have unsatisfactory validity of the questionnaire, and Pt has a generally good predictive value for post-traumatic maladjustment.
