Experimental, imperfect phase diagrams of Ce-Co, Pr-Co and Nd-Co have been reported by Ray and Hogger. A recent study at the University of Dayton revealed the existence of phases that were previously known in these combinations. Some of these phases, such as R_5Co_ (19), may play an important role in producing a high coercivity of sintered rare earth magnets. In view of a reliable phase diagram for the preparation and heat treatment of these alloys and their Magnetic control and understanding of the importance, we revised and improved the three binary system phase diagram.
