回顾万源电信发展的历史,它走过的是一条艰辛的发展之路。80年代全市仅有不到300来户的“摇把子”,1991年1000门集装箱式的纵横制交换机从火车站轰轰烈烈地搬到机房,实现了自动拨号。到1994年5000门程控电话开通,才真正开启了万源通信大发展的先河。目前,全市交换总容量达到4万门,出局线对达3.8万线,实装电话2.6万户,光纤架设500余杆公里,其中海拔在1000米以上的达100余杆
