紧凑型玉米新品种“呼单５号”是以英６４—３—１自交系为母本，４４６—１自交系为父本杂交育成，适宜≥１０℃活动积温２１００～２３００℃地区种植推广。３年区域试验平均产量６８４８．０ｋｇ／ｈｍ２，比对照品种合玉１４号增产１２．６％，居试验第１位；２年生产示范平均产量７８２１．０ｋｇ／ｈｍ２，比对照品种增产１７．１％；１年２２０ｈｍ２大面积示范推广，平均产量７８６４．５ｋｇ／ｈｍ２，比对照品种增产１９．２％。
The new compact maize variety “Huidang No.5” was bred by using the inbred line Ying 64-3-1 as the female parent and the 446-1 inbred line as the male parent, which was suitable for the active accumulated temperature 2100 ℃ to 2300 ℃ ≥10 ℃ Promotion.
