日本君津制铁所4号连铸机是板、带兼用连铸机,现正采用凝固末期轻压下技术,生产中心偏析小的高碳钢铸坯。但在轻压下带的后半部由于压下力不足不能确保大的压下量,未能起到完全抑制引起铸坯低倍偏析的钢液流动现象。因此在该连铸机轻压下带的后半部配置车轮状轧辊(disc roll,即呈凸出形的异形辊),有效地利用设备现有的压下能力提高压下量,进一步改善了中心偏析。
