The relationship between man and nature is the most concerned issue of Scottish poet Catherine Jamie. Her poems not only show the integration of man and nature, but also show the conflict between man and nature. In the poems, she often mixes the human world with the natural world, and at the same time reveals the worship of the natural objects, making people realize that the natural objects have an admirable character. Human beings, like other natural things, are just an ordinary species. When describing the conflicts between man and nature, she also shows that mankind should not place himself on the opposite of nature but should reconcile with nature. In short, Jamie’s poem makes us aware that mankind and other species are all part of an interconnected ecological network, thus inspiring us to abandon the erroneous viewpoint that the binary opposition between man and nature is viewed from the perspective of ecological holism The relationship between man and nature.
