哈代、福克纳和马尔克斯以自己创造的独特微观艺术世界为背景,打破时空的局限,生动地再 现了宏观的现实世界,反映了各自民族的命运,展示了新旧时代交替时期的巨大社会变动,使 他们的作品成为各自时代和民族的优秀编年史、大事记和宝鉴录。这一事实再次验证了文学 艺术完全可以做到“以小见大”这样一个朴素的道理。此外,我们还看到体现在哈代作品中的 现实主义的基本创作原则并没有过时,他的现实主义艺术在像福克纳和马尔克斯这样的现代 经典作家的艺术世界里,经过融会改造,已经获得了艺术生命的延续。困为很显然,无论福克 纳和马尔克斯采用什么样万花筒般的艺术手法,他们所遵循的依然是现实主义的基本创作原 则。这充分说明,即使是在现代世界,现实主义作为一种基本的创作方法依然具有强大的生 命力,现实主义之树将永远常青。
