作者通过对扬麦158叶片生长习性、功能叶特点以及栽培因子对主茎叶片影响的观察,认为小麦叶片多少主要决定于前期,它与营养条件、气温关系密切,前期(1—2叶)供肥、稀播、早播有利叶片数增加,反之减少,但就同一措施田块,主茎叶片数具有相对稳定性,掌握叶片与各器官相关性,叶龄进程可作为科学管理的主要指标;小麦倒4片叶面积大,光合效率高,有利于小穗与小花分化,因此,栽培措施必须围绕主攻大穗增粒夺高产;齐穗后功能叶不仅有增粒重效应,更有增粒效果,防止功能叶早衰则是增粒高产的关键。
