Purpose To inquire about patients and their families from different races receiving palliative care and their reactions to being informed and their satisfaction with the sharing of information. Design a qualitative study through semi-structured individual interviews. Research Site Perth, Western Australia, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The 72 participants registered as palliative participants included 21 pairs of patients and their relatives in Perth, 14 pairs of patients and their families in Winnipeg, and two patients. Results The participants described their experiences in great detail. The analysis shows that the process of communication is as important as the content of the information. Talking hours, treatment strategies, delivery of information, and attitude of the physician are the keys to the overall communication process. This need for informational interaction runs through every stage of the disease. The main content involved is related to prognosis and hope of cure. In addition, we can pass our hopes to patients through different channels. Get other information from different sources and blend them with basic information. All patients, regardless of their origin, want to know their own condition and share this information completely with their families. Almost all patients are asked to know how the prognosis of the disease, all family members respect their wishes.
