大学英语改革进程中,国内一些高校结合自己学校和学生的实际情况开发了惠及师生的大学英语校本课程,山东青年政治学院外国语学院也积极加入教改的行列。根据满足应用型人才培养的实际需要和夯实新建本科院校的文化底蕴这一改革思路,大学英语教学被划分为四大教学模块,分别是:通识英语、学术英语、通用英语和出国英语。本文旨在以山东青年政治学院通识英语教学团队的构建为例,探讨以“内容”为依托的通识英语教育理念对培养学生人文素养和跨文化交际能力的重要性,研究通识英语课程设置(包括核心课程和后续课程)的可行性和合理性,以期对通识英语课程建设的顺利开展有所助益。
In the process of college English reform, some colleges and universities in our country have developed a school-based college English curriculum that benefits teachers and students in light of the actual conditions of their own schools and students. The School of Foreign Languages of Shandong Youth Political College also actively joins the ranks of education reform. According to the reform idea of meeting the practical needs of cultivating applied talents and consolidating the cultural heritage of new undergraduate colleges, college English teaching is divided into four teaching modules: General English, Academic English, General English and English Abroad. The purpose of this article is to establish the general English teaching team of Shandong Youth College of Politics as an example to discuss the importance of the general English education concept relying on “content ” on cultivating students’ humanistic accomplishments and intercultural communication skills. The feasibility and rationality of the English curriculum (including the core curriculum and the follow-up courses) will be helpful to the smooth development of General English courses.
