It is the source of a translator’s beautiful vision and the source of translation challenges. First of all, this article will discuss the advantages of equivalence translation from three aspects: translation process, translation focus, translation concept and tools. Secondly, it discusses the challenge of equivalence translation from the perspective of semiotics. It is divided into three parts: semantic differences, syntactic differences and pragmatic factors. Based on the pros and cons analysis, the methods to improve the quality of the translation are summarized from four aspects: semantic, syntactic, pragmatic and translating tools.
