沈阳评剧院著名评剧表演艺术家、评剧教育家花淑兰因病抢救无效,于2005年3月30日在沈阳逝世,享年76岁。花淑兰于1929年生于河北省唐山,8岁就随母刘玉舫学艺,曾拜评剧创始人之一刘子熙为师。花淑兰音域宽、音质纯净,嗓音甜脆,在唱腔上广采博取,兼容并蓄,刚柔相济,在少年时期就在冀东及京津地区享有“金嗓子”盛名。她表演声情并茂,善于刻画和塑造各类角色。1945年她开始接受革命文艺思想
