全国中共党史人物研究会第三次学术讨论会于1983年11月20—24日在长沙召开。会议的中心内容是交流编写党史人物传的经验,交流研究党史人物的心得,以便进一步推动党史人物传记的编写工作,更好地为建设社会主义精神文明服务。参加大会的共有二百九十多人,提供人物传记讨论稿一百二十多篇。中共中央顾问委员会常委王首道、何长工同志(兼该会会长)及湖南省委第一书记毛致用同志到会讲了话。王首道同志在《党史人物研究与精神文明建设》的讲话中,对党史人物研究的意义、原则,特别是与建设社会主义精神文明的关系等,进行了深刻的阐述,指出党史人物的研究对教育人民
The Third National Symposium on the History of the CCP Historical Figures was held in Changsha on November 20-24, 1983.
