This year marks the 50th anniversary of the founding of Tibet autonomous region. Having experienced four historic stages of peaceful liberation， democratic reforms， establishment of the autonomous region， and reform and opening-up， Tibet has achieved leapfrog development in five decades that might be expected to take centuries.
　　Tibet’s development is inextricable from the support of the central government and the entire country. The central government raises on the region’s 50th anniversary the principles of strengthening ethnic unity， consistently adhering to rule of law， proactively propelling economic development， and striving to guarantee and improve people’s livelihood in efforts to boost Tibet’s development. The united efforts of people of all ethnic groups， as well as the Tibetan people， will exert the maximum impetus towards the region’s bounding development.
　　owing to specific geographical conditions and historical reasons， the autonomous region has a weak economic foundation and a low economic aggregate. Tibet’s revitalization， therefore， necessitates a creative development road.
