作为二十世纪八十年代最重要的美国剧作家之一,奥古斯特·威尔逊的剧作品得到美国剧院一致好评。本文试图从文化身份理论角度来分析奥古斯特·威尔逊的杰作《钢琴的启示》。通过分析这部戏剧来挖掘美国黑人需要如何重新追溯历史,重新认识自己认清自己既是一个美国人,又是一个黑人的事实,如何在以白人主流文化社会中确立自己的文化身份。
As one of the most important American playwrights in the 1980s, Auguste Wilson’s operas won acclaim from the American Theater. This article attempts to analyze Auguste Wilson’s masterpiece “The Enlightenment of the Piano” from the perspective of cultural identity theory. Through the analysis of this drama to find out how African Americans need to trace their history again and recognize oneself as an American and a black one and how to establish their own cultural identity in the mainstream white culture.
